Granite Bay is Placer County estate country: one-acre-plus lots, granite outcrops and boulders, oak woodland, and gated communities with architectural review. Large lawns here take a lot of water and upkeep through long, hot summers, and dry grass near oak woodland is fuel by August. We design artificial turf, backyard putting greens, and paver patios that fit the scale of a Granite Bay property and stay green without irrigation. Granite Bay is named for what is under it. Shallow rock, boulders, and grade changes mean more excavation and careful base work. We grade for drainage, work around outcrops instead of fighting them, and anchor edges for slopes so the turf stays put.
Granite Bay lots have the room for a real practice green with fringe, multiple cups, and chipping areas. Custom putting greens start from $15,000, and we build them with the same in-house crews that handle the rest of the yard.
Gated communities like Los Lagos and Treelake have architectural review, and we provide full documentation for approval. On properties near oak woodland, turf can be part of a defensible-space plan because it doesn't dry out into fuel the way dead grass does. Always follow your local fire authority's guidelines.
