Decorative rock
Rock beds, borders, dry creek beds and paths, installed by our own crew. Most customers add rock with their turf so the whole yard is done at once.

Our own crew
Total Turf employees with workers' comp do the prep and the install.
Prep you can't see
We clear, grade and lay weed barrier before any rock goes down.
Planned with your turf
Rock and turf together: one crew, one schedule and one written price.
What's included
Rock fills the spaces where turf doesn't make sense: around plants, along the house and in spots that see little foot traffic. We bring samples so you can pick the color and size next to your home.

Sacramento area · Rock beds framing a curved turf lawn

Rancho Murieta · A clean edge where turf meets rock

Fair Oaks · Dry creek bed beside the turf

Decorative mow strips
A poured concrete mow strip gives turf, planters and rock a clean, lasting edge. It is extruded in one continuous piece, so it follows straight lines and flowing curves alike. Pick a profile and a color, and we will go over it at your free estimate.
A raised back with a low front lip, 6 inches wide by 4 inches tall. The low front edge keeps a crisp, finished line along lawns and beds.
A flat, square-shouldered profile, 6 inches wide by 4 inches tall. A simple, modern line that turf tucks right up against.
Colors on a screen are close, not exact. Final color can vary slightly with the concrete mix and cure. Prefer plain gray concrete? That works too.

Rock type, size, depth and access all change the work, so rock is priced per project. We measure in person and give you a written price at your free estimate, on its own or with your turf. Financing is available for qualified buyers.
Good to know
We measure the area and work out the amount at your free estimate, so you don't have to guess.
Weed barrier and the right rock depth help keep weeds down. A few seeds can still blow in on top over time, and those pull out easily.
Yes. We bring samples to your estimate so you can compare them next to your home and turf.
Yes. Most of our rock work goes in alongside turf. See artificial turf and the Fair Oaks yard with a dry creek bed.
